Greetings!

Welcome to the official website for the Town of Middlebury, NY! We are a primarily rural town in Wyoming County, located south between Buffalo and Rochester. With the Oatka Creek bordering the eastern side of the town and the Dale Valley on the west, the town includes the historic "Gaslight Village" of Wyoming on NY Route 19 and the hamlet of Dale on County Road 1. In addition to several large dairy farms, locally-grown grain, fruits, and vegetables can be found here in abundance, as can some of the best maple syrup products in the northeastern US! The town was first settled in 1802, and the township was formed in 1812. The Village of Wyoming includes several buildings in the National Historic Register and hosts the annual Apple-Umpkin Festival each fall. Also found within the town is the 2,580 acre NYS Carlton Hill Multiple Use recreation area, with an abundance of wildlife, numerous hiking trails and activities for all seasons. We warmly welcome visitors to stop and see us any time of year!
